Hi everyone ,

My name is Sachin, and I’m a Computer Science student excited to contribute to OpenMRS for GSoC 2026!

I’m particularly interested in the Audit Log Dashboard project, as well as React-based frontend improvements. I’ve already started exploring the codebase to understand the current implementation and am in the process of setting up my local development environment.

I’d love guidance on:

  • Beginner-friendly issues to get started with
  • Any tips for navigating the codebase effectively
  • How to best connect with the mentors for the Audit Log Dashboard project

Update: I have successfully set up my local development environment and submitted my first PR to openmrs-esm-core.

The PR improves the DevTools README with setup instructions and a contributing guide for new developers.
