ID Gen Module REST API interface

Question: I’ve installed Id Gen Module for OpenMRS and it is working great. But as per this documentation : https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Idgen+Module the REST API interface is still a work in progress. Is it already available now? If not, is it still currently an active development?

There is a module that provides web services for idgen here:

At some point this code will be merged into the main idgen module, but I don’t know the timeline for this.

Until that code functionality is merged, is that module code production-ready? Is there a plan to release & publish this module in the directory at https://modules.openmrs.org?

I’m pretty sure that the code is used in production in Bahmni.

@shruthidipali can you comment on whether the idgen web services module is ready to be shared?

Yes we are using this module at multiple sites for quite sometime now.
