How to import icd 10 codes using meta data sharing… do I need to modify the xml file , which i download from cdc website…plz someone guide me… I am new to openmrs and not having much technical skills…
I am not sure why you want to upload all of ICD-10. What is your specific use case? It also matters which version of ICD-10 you want to use (WHO, ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-CA, ICD-10-AM, etc.). I do not advocate putting ICD-10 into EHRs directly for user selection. The #CIEL dictionary has most needed diagnoses with maps to ICD-10.
To use MDS module, you first have to have the concepts in an OpenMRS dictionary, so you won’t be able to use it with any sort of file from any other source. Theoretically, you should be able to create a concept dictionary from Open Concept Lab (openconceptlab.org) and synch it to an OpenMRS database, but we currently do not support doing this with ICD-10-WHO (or any source other than CIEL).
