As @burke is fond of saying, we don’t want to to have design discussions in JIRA issues.
Personally I would love some automated way of moving from the email notification of a JIRA comment, to a Talk discussion. Back when we had an email list, I could just reply/forward to dev@o.o, and things would work correctly. However because we now use Talk, doing that loses the links and comment being responded to.
E.g. I tried this here and I then had to edit the topic to add a link (after finding the comment permalink) and the actual comment of Burke’s I’m replying to isn’t included in the discussion.
