Question: Hi everyone,

I am a beginner and currently a bachelor’s student. I am very interested in contributing to OpenMRS through GSoC, but I am not sure how to begin.

I have some basic knowledge of Python, Flask, and web development, but I am new to Java and OpenMRS.

I would really appreciate it if someone could guide me on:

  • How to properly set up OpenMRS on my local system

  • Where I should start as a beginner

  • Any beginner-friendly issues or resources I can follow

I have already explored the website and gone through some documentation, but I am still a bit confused about the next steps.
