How to map a concept to a range of reference terms?

Hi @akanter

What is the proper concept map type to use in a case like this:

Tuberculosis (A15-A19)

?

Can we say that our “Tuberculosis” concept is the same as ICD-10 A15-A19? My guts say no, because A15-A19 is a range of reference terms and not a single one that our “Tuberculosis” could be the same as (or narrower than or broader than, etc).

I guess that we could introduce a specific type for this, like “is in”?

This is a header concept which cannot be used to actually code clinical content. I suppose there is a reason to have it for the purpose of navigation or to print a list, but it shouldn’t be mapped to A15-A19. I don’t think it should be mapped at all to ICD-10 as it would be a duplicate of Tuberculosis, NOS. Perhaps I need to understand the use case.

You are correct, it is a header concept.

Thanks @akanter this answers our question
