How do i get to the database configurations within the metadata deploy module?

i am working with the meta data module having this code https://pastebin.com/7CwC9ud6. The code on that link looks not to have the data base configurations yet i want to make some tests using it.My question is do i include the configurations manually and i connect to any database of my choice?
