I am trying to customize the openmrs homepage title bar from OpenMRS - Home to my prefered title. I have carried out all possible changes in the legacyUi 1.23.0. omod. All to no avail. I have openmrs version 2.7.6 Build 0 installed. I cannot locate the right source file of the homepage title. I have tried to add openmrs.title key value to message.properties file, I have hardcoded title into HeaderFull.jsp and HeaderMinimal.jsp by changing the openmrs.title key , i have edited all index.jsp and any index.html file title in sight, i have edited war file. Non has changed the homepage title.
Even if you have legacyUI 1.23.0 installed, OpenMRS 2.7.6 does not use legacy JSPs to render the homepage. Your edits are being ignored because in OpenMRS 2.7.x, the homepage is rendered byUI Framework and Reference Application (GSP pages).
@jwnasambu. Openmrs 2.7.6 does not come with UI Framework and Reference Application pre installed. I installed ui framework successfully but having compatibity problem with Reference Application Module. Thanks

Thanks alot @jwnasambu . I finally got it resolved. In the legacyui 1.23.0.omod, the source file of the homepage is index.jsp. The message code responsible for the title of the homepage is “ index.title” and not “openmrs.title” . I simply assigned my custom title to index.title and added it to message.properties as index.title=MyCustomTitle. More cleaner than hardcoding it to index.jsp
