Help Desk support Level 1 volunteer

I have been holding this position for a while and I was thinking what if we have this role as a rotating volunteer role that allows volunteers in the community with interest of community management to learn how this aspect of open source community runs? After all, a Help Desk Manager is not the person doing all the tasks rather making sure the cases are directed to respective persons that can handle a case and help keep things moving and its awesome volunteer to connect to the right people. That is my thought and I will be glad to hear your views.

Dear Community Members,

After a dedicated period of 4+ years of service, I would like to let you know that my volunteer term at the help desk will be concluding on September 30, 2023, at 12:00 AM East Africa Time (EAT).

During my time as a help desk volunteer, it has been a privilege to assist and support our community members. I have had the opportunity to work with many of you, providing guidance and solutions to various inquiries and challenges. Your engagement and commitment to our community have been truly inspiring.

As my term comes to an end, please be assured that the help desk will continue to operate and provide assistance. Our dedicated team of volunteers and support staff will be available to address your queries and concerns. You can still reach out to the help desk through the usual channels, and they will do their best to assist you promptly.

I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for the trust you have placed in me during my time as a volunteer. It has been a rewarding experience, and I have learned a great deal from each interaction. While my role as a volunteer is ending, I will always remain a part of this wonderful community and cherish the connections I’ve made.

Thank you for your understanding, cooperation, and the opportunity to serve you. If you have any questions or need assistance before my departure, please do not hesitate to reach out to the help desk.
