Hi OpenMRS Community! :waving_hand:

I am Susmitha Bhargavi Thummalacharla, a 2nd year B.Tech CSE student from KL Deemed to be University, India.

I have submitted my GSoC 2026 proposal for improving the OpenMRS patient dashboard using ReactJS and Java REST API enhancements.

About Me:

  • Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate ORM
  • ReactJS, JavaScript, MySQL
  • REST APIs, Spring Data JPA

My Projects:

  • HomestayHub: Full stack tourism platform built with React.js (deployed on Vercel)
  • Task Management REST API: Spring Boot + MySQL + Hibernate CRUD application

My Proposal: Enhance OpenMRS patient dashboard with:

  1. Improved ReactJS frontend components
  2. Optimized Java REST API endpoints
  3. Better FHIR data handling
  4. Increased test coverage

I would love to get mentor feedback on my proposal and guidance on good first issues to contribute to!
