GSoC 2022: Redo Legacy UI Cohort Builder - Requirement Gathering

Hello everyone :raised_hands:, I am interested in the Redo Legacy UI Cohort Builder project on this year’s Google Summer of Code project list.

I went through the resources, and I have some doubts about the project So, I created this thread to clarify those doubts i have about the mentioned project.

I was able to create a new MF module using the esm template.

Currently, I’m having a problem with locating the cohort build UI in the demo server. Can someone help me with that?

Thank you!

thanks @ibacher

Is this the GitHub - openmrs/openmrs-module-cohortbuilder: Provides a better way for users to easily search for and run saved report definitions or queries for a given group of persons or patients project? @ibacher

I think so, yes, but I don’t know that there’s any value in studying that code. It uses DWR to talk to the backend which is no longer a technique we support or recommend. It’d be more helpful to review the 3.x documentation and the REST API documentation as well as the FHIR support.

Thank you! @ibacher

Hello @ibacher, Why the OWA version is not on the demo page just like mentioned in the docs?

Not everything that gets developed for OpenMRS makes it into the reference application and the demo site runs the reference application .

Hello @ibacher! When I’m going through the Cohort Builder OWA project I found some unused in the project. I created a Jira ticket and made a pull request. can you review?

Thank you! @ibacher for your help. I have submitted my proposal. :slightly_smiling_face:
