How about migrating Android Client to Flutter or React Native? The last commit on iOS Client is almost 1.5 years ago, it will become much easier to maintain both platforms using something like Flutter. Not sure if it qualifies for GSoC Project though

it would be a nice idea cc @f4ww4z whats your say ??

I’ve added projects for FHIR search and narratives.

What about the openMRS android client and nigeria telemedicine app won’t they be the part of project list this year ?

Thanks @ibacher, Added.

Hi @suthagar23 sorry for the delay, I’ve been traveling, will be back before 24hrs time. Will be happy to mentor for the Android client v3.x. again. Can I update the wiki pages when I get back? (don’t have access to laptop right now)

Features to add:

  • material UI design
  • integrate more components of the webapp to the client
  • password reset via email
  • replace Java code with Kotlin

As for the comment regarding migrating to Flutter, we will need to find a few more active community members that have experience, especially since the Android client has a lot of features built-in. Also, to publish the flutter app, I’ll need access to the Google play dev console, which I’m not sure who to contact. I think later on this year we’ll start to think about migrating to Flutter, since I see no disadvantages of using the framework.

Great @f4ww4z. We can go ahead with this. Please give me an updated wiki page when you come back to your place.

@suthagar23 Updated the OpenMRS Android Client 2.9.x Project page (not quite ready for v3.0.0 yet) at

https://wiki.openmrs.org/x/JIABCw

Primary mentor will be me, is there any volunteer in the community to be backup mentor?

Hello Team - I was wondering weather or not / how far the support for GraphQL came? is it part of the recent API developments?

Unfortunately, we haven’t made any real progress on the GraphQL front other than considering it.

Good to hear something about flutter
