Getting started with OpenMRS contributions (first PR guidance)

Hi everyone, I’m a computer engineering student and I’ve successfully set up OpenMRS locally using openmrs-core and Jetty.

I’m looking to start contributing and would appreciate guidance on:

  • beginner-friendly issues that are currently active

  • areas where first-time contributors can add value quickly

I’m especially interested in learning the OpenMRS codebase and following best practices.
