I found an ebook on Git Workflows, and it’s completely free. Very useful for new developers. So I am sharing this in the hopes that people will find it valuable 
and for the heck of it i’m gonna use the 
emoticon…because why not. This guy (the author of the aforementioned book) also makes his dotfiles available for people to use, which has sane defaults for Mac OSX but I assume it would translate cleanly to Linux. I use vim a lot for my development lately.
