Distributions compatible with OpenMRS core?

Hi,

do we have any distributions that are fully compatible with the latest OpenMRS core? Or all our distributions have been forked in the past and lost their compatibility in the meantime?

Regards, Jakub.

Which distribution version are you having? the current is ref App 2.9.0 on platform 2.2.0.

Our sync demo servers are on version 2.0.5 with reference application 2.6.0

@alalo, @kmadej do we have any newer distribution?

Regards, Tomasz

I was looking at https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/OpenMRS+Distributions

I’ve created the local demo instance of ref App 2.9.0 using the openMRS SDK. In the system info placed in the administration panel I found information about the platform 2.1.4.

The same situation on the OpenMRS demo server: https://demo.openmrs.org/openmrs/admin/maintenance/systemInfo.htm

The newest released ref App 2.9.0 (OpenMRS distribution) is based on openMRS platform 2.1.4. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

For all my day to day activities, i run the reference application on the master branch of the core platform. So you should be able to run it on the latest platform release.

OK, so all other distributions except Reference Application are not compatible with the core platform?

UgandaEMR is based on the reference application and hence should be fine. Bahmni usually goes with the latest release of the core platform.

Partners In Health uses the Core release and does not fork. I know we are not one of the usual distributions, but we are using OpenMRS at 100+ health facilities and our code is available on Github.

Thanks @ball
