Developers, add your GitHub ID to your profile!

Hi developers! As you may have heard, @burke has announced a new “Developer Stages” program to recognize your contributions and skills. We’ll be issuing OpenMRS Talk Badges for each stage over the next several weeks.

In order for us to find your commits and OpenMRS contributions, you’ll need to add your GitHub ID to your public OpenMRS Talk profile at https://talk.openmrs.org/my/preferences. (Make sure you’re logged in first!)

After you’ve saved your preferences, your GitHub ID will then show up at the top of your profile page. For example, see: https://talk.openmrs.org/users/burke/activity

If you have any questions about linking your GitHub account, reply to this topic.

Hello please need some help… I am new here and had some issues finding my github id, The link Sir @michael gave here is not more accessible to see the example. Please any help on that will be welcomed

The github user badge still exists. Your GitHub ID is the username you use when logging into GitHub (https://github.com). Entering your GitHub username into your profile on Talk helps us know who’s who, since GitHub usernames and OpenMRS IDs are often different.
