Dear Community,
I’m Darshan Hiranandani, seeking help from volunteers who are willing to assist with maintaining the OpenMRS Evidence Hub (https://om.rs/evidence). This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to contribute to the community without writing code but still making a significant impact!
Challenges We’re Facing:
Challenge #1 – New Publications: There are several new research papers being published every month related to OpenMRS, but I’m struggling to keep the Evidence Hub Wiki page updated in a timely manner. While we’ve added many articles from 2024, there’s a lot more out there.
Challenge #2 – Old Publications: I’ve only been able to add a few of the high-impact articles from pre-2020, and there’s an entire back catalog of research that needs to be included.
Time Commitment:
1-4 hours per month for someone who can help.
The Process:
- Sign up for Google Scholar alerts to get notifications about new publications related to OpenMRS.
- Evaluate the quality and relevance of the publication, ensuring it contributes valuable knowledge to the community.
- Add relevant articles to the Evidence Hub, using APA format, and including relevant themes such as oncology, eHealth, and disease-specific research.
Would anyone like to help with this? I’d also love to hear any ideas on how to automate the process of finding useful articles, to make it more efficient.
Let me know if you’re interested!
Regards Darshan Hiranandani
