I’m writing to you about a problem that’s been bothering me regarding the bed management system using OpenMRS in a hospital in my country. The Ministry of Health launched the EMR project in 2017, and several healthcare facilities have already benefited from it.
My problem lies with bed configuration. When I create inpatient wards, they don’t appear in the bed administration dashboard. However, when I go to the bed management module within the clinical module, I can see these parent locations. The difficulty is therefore this:
- Since I don’t directly see the creation of parent locations in OpenMRS, I can’t also create child locations and assign beds to them.
I would appreciate an answer to this question, please. I would also like to know if it would be better to do this via SQL command lines. If so, how would I proceed? Or perhaps I would like a solution through the OpenMRS administration interface.
