I totally agree. @akanter I’ve been finding myself needing to change CIEL reference ranges quite a lot lately. Is this a breaking change, or could this be included in our allowed use cases for Concept Customization?
We should definitely discuss this. I don’t think reference range changes are breaking changes, but we need to address the entire concept of ranges for OpenMRS. These are old concepts from AMPATH days and I have not systematically looked at them. I only create reference ranges these days to enforce non-negative numbers or if PIH asks
I fixed the Respiratory rate to 99/////0. I don’t know which other concept creatine is referring to.
Sorry, I got it wrong. It was Serum Creatinine: CIEL / CIEL / 790 - Open Concept Lab And the concern was simple that umol/L is in the title, which creates a duplicated unit since we’re trying to use it to display [Lab Name][units] - so it becomes “Serum Creatinine umol/L umol/L”
Yes, we absolutely need to have a discussion about how we model reference ranges.
Right now, it is hard for people to know what the units are without including them in the title. I would point out that fully specified names have to be unique, so we would not be able to strip off the units for two similar tests with different units. I suggest that a different preferred name is set for that display.
@akanter are the office hours still happening this week? It overlaps with the 3.0 Framework / Future of OMRS presentation.
Concept management office hours will begin shortly but only run for 30 min today, so please login quickly if you have questions!
Concept management office hours will be cancelled today. Sorry!
Concept management office hours will be cancelled today in lieu of the OpenHIE Terminology Services call which is conflicting. Next week will also be cancelled due to my travel schedule, but the first week in June will be back on Wednesday.
