Cohort Builder Sprint

Overview: We’re revamping the immensely useful Cohort Builder tool. It will allow users to create and store queries to the openMRS database. Stored queries can be useful in many ways ranging from keeping track of a specific subset of data to use as a data source for reporting.

Objectives

  1. Create a UI for queries that retains the existing functionality of the old cohort builder tool
  2. Connect the UI to be backend via the REST module.

Start Date: 07/02/2017 End Date: 21/02/2017

I’m excited about this project!

Will there be a demo/showcase at the end of the sprint? I think quite a few people would be interested in seeing one.

Definitely there has to be a demo at the end of each sprint, so as to enable us to improve on the MVP

Cool! Let me rephrase my question in the form of a suggestion: you should set up a demo/showcase call and announce it, so that interested people can put it on their calendars.

Wow. This is so cool to see.

I don’t know if this is helpful. but the primary inspiration from the cohort builder came from a tool called OVID that allows you to search medical journals.

Here’s a video that shows it in action:

Thanks for all that you guys are doing here!

Hi @fortune and @reddberckley - I’m excited to see how things are going with the Cohort Builder tool. Can you give us an update on how things are going? Maybe we can coordinate a demo? Thanks!

Hi Jan, We’re coordinating with @dkayiwa to find a time that works for all. Tentatively, we should have a demo today. Thank you.
