Hello OpenMRS Community!
Every year, our global community gathers to share our work, solve challenges and strengthen the bonds that power our ecosystem.
While we are already looking forward to our upcoming meetings, we are currently planning for the next two conferences! We are officially opening a Call for Expressions of Interest for organizations and country teams interested in hosting the OpenMRS Annual Implementers Conference in 2026 and 2027.
Why Host an OpenMRS Conference?
Hosting is a unique opportunity to:
- Showcase your work: Highlight your local implementations and innovations to a global audience.
- Strengthen local partnerships: Engage your Ministry of Health and local partners with the global community.
- Shape the roadmap: Bring the community’s focus to the specific needs and challenges of your region.
What We Are Looking For
Hosting a conference is a collaborative effort between a Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and the OpenMRS Global Events Team. We look for hosts who can provide:
- A strong local organizing team.
- A venue capable of hosting 200–400+ participants with reliable internet.
- Proximity to an international airport and accessible visa requirements.
- Support from local government or key health IT stakeholders.
