Digital Public Goods (DPGs) like Bahmni, OpenMRS, DHIS2 and others are striving to be interoperable by supporting global standards of information exchange, recommended & shaped by communities like OpenHIE, ABDM/India, etc. This ensures that when countries/states/districts/facilities that adopt a DPG like Bahmni (or OpenMRS), the data is not siloed and can be exchanged between various health & reporting systems at various levels, unlocking quality decision making at all levels, while protecting/respecting patient privacy.
