Bahmni Standard: Need some guidance on understanding "Procedure Orders" workflows

Hi Bahmni team,

We understand that Bahmni Standard supports the following Order Types during clinical consultation workflow:

  1. Laboratory Orders
  2. Radiology Orders
  3. Procedure Orders

Laboratory Orders

  • When Laboratory Orders are placed, the reports / observations corresponding to those orders can be made available in the following ways:
    1. OpenElis
    2. If we do not wish to use OpenElis, we can opt for integrating “Lab Entry” module as in Bahmni Lite.
  • Finally, the reports would be made available in the Patient Dashboard.

Radiology Orders

  • When Radiology Orders are placed, the reports / observations corresponding to those orders can be made available in the following ways:
    1. PACS Integration
    2. If we do not wish to use PACS Integration, we can still use “Orders” / “Radiology Upload” / “Patient Documents” modules to upload the Radiology order reports.
  • Finally, the reports would be made available in the Patient Dashboard.

Procedure Orders

  • When Procedure Orders are placed, those orders could be seen getting listed in Patient Dashboard under “Procedures”.
  • But, we couldn’t find any options to upload or capture the reports / observations related those procedure orders.

Can someone from Bahmni team, guide us to get some understanding on the following:

  1. How to capture the observations for the Procedure Orders that were placed during a clinical consultation?
  2. Confirmation on, if the Procedure orders are specific to IPD workflows only and not needed for OPD workflows.

Some kind of reference links or demo videos relevant to the latest Bahmni Standard deployment would be helpful.

Thanks,

Hi @coimsen,

  1. You can configure order fulfillment forms for procedure orders to write procedure notes and attach reports. Please refer to this wiki page https://bahmni.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/BAH/pages/18415632/Order+Fulfillment+Procedures
  2. Procedure orders can be placed for day-care/OPD procedures as well.

Thanks for the response @akhilmalhotra. Will follow the link and get back in case of any further issues / queries.
