Hi,

I’ve received a couple of complaints that some of OpenMRS resources are not accessible from parts Sri Lanka/India. In order to further investigate, I need your help.

So, can you try the following servers on your browser: https://quizgrader.openmrs.org/status ( you should see a simple black ‘ok’) https://demo.openmrs.org/ https://addons-stg.openmrs.org/ https://addons.openmrs.org/

If you have VPN, please test with and without VPN and let me know the result.

I’d also ask you to try to run traceroute. (There’s a windows version as well.

Is it possible to fix this problem? We would happy to use the qa-ref app these days very much as to reproduce some problems we encounted and show them to our mentors easily. :smile:

If you are getting as close as ‘js-129-114-17-74.jetstream-cloud.org’, I could contact them and ask them to investigate.

But in order to raise a ticket with them, I need a lot more information for them to understand what is happening.

I need you to try, in different times to try to access https://demo.openmrs.org/ from your browser. The trick is, every time you try, I need your IP (http://whatismyipaddress.com/), location and UTC time.

It’s pretty important that others with the problem to do it too. I need to give them a list of IPs being blocked on a very specific time. With that list, they can look at the logs and try to understand.

Hi. As I mentioned before, I don’t control the internet :smiley: The best I can do is to raise the ticket with the relevant provider, as soon as we discover which provider is actually causing the problem. That’s why I asked here for help, to collect information enough to raise a ticket.

As you mention ‘we’, I’d kindly ask all of you all to do the steps I mentioned here. The traceroute, IP, UTC time, location, what happens when you use VPN.

Can you attempt to access https://demo.openmrs.org in your browser, give your public IP (http://whatismyipaddress.com/), location and UTC time? If you could try from different networks, get colleagues to do that, it would be awesome.

I hope that if I can get several attempts on the logs, they can actually find out what exactly is happening.

@cintiadr I am from India and I’m able to access all the URLs. As far as I know , people from Sri Lanka are the ones facing the issues. If you need any more help/info, do let me know :slight_smile:
