Any work done on including Location metadata in different Locale

Hi, Has anyone worked before on maintaining Location Metadata in multiple locale similar to concept management? If so kindly share some idea or link to study.

There is functionality available to store and manage concepts in multiple locale (metadata). But is there any functionality or work done on maintaining Location (log in location / Department etc) in multiple locate. So that on selection of default locale for user, same location can be shown in that particular locale?
