There was a talk post about the creation of an African OHDSI working group that would use OpenMRS data for observational research. There is a lot of momentum behind OHDSI and OMOP and it would be great for OpenMRS to be involved. Thinking in particular about @johnblack but others as well. One of the one chairs, Nega Gebreyesus will be in Malawi for the month of April/May and would like to meet with anyone in the country who is interested. That’s great, Johnblack. I didn’t think you could meet with him in Malawi, but I do think Uganda is a natural place for an OpenMRS-OHDSI collaboration to start as well!
