Add new Provider Attribute Type

I add new attribute type to provider. When I select the datatype of attribute type is “org.openmrs.customdatatype.datatype.LocationDatatype.name”, value does not store in the database. When I select “free text” or “Long free text”, value stores in the database, but I need “org.openmrs.customdatatype.datatype.LocationDatatype.name” datatype. What do you advise me to do?
