We can change the existing join teleconsultation as below

We have a config option startWithVideoMuted which can be used while starting/joining the call

Similarly we cna have an audio icon for adhoc call at the top once we merge the Ability for a doctor/provider to start an ad-hoc Tele-consultation with a patient from within Bahmni. - #6 by gsluthra task ([BAH-1254] - Bahmni - JIRA)

what happens if the doctor initiates audio only call, and the patient does video? is that possible. I wouldn’t mind the option, but I don’t know whether audio only is necessary!

It will show video of patient, they can always enable video after joining as well
