Michael Syson is a student, a teacher, and a social entrepreneur. He teaches Japanese and Chinese Language and Culture at the Ateneo de Manila University, and works on Usbong--which, in partnership with government, industry, and academe, is an open source platform and a social business that helps even non-technical people build their own Android applications for use in data collection, assessment, training, screening, diagnostics, and also interactive digital storytelling. At present, he is finishing his doctorate degree in Computer Science at the Ateneo de Manila University.
