What is Google Code-in?

Hey folks! Anyone explain what is 'Google code-in ’ here for

Hi Ethan!

Google Code-In Tag is here because OpenMRS is a mentoring organization for the contest this year (Dec 2014-Jan 2015).

The Google Code-in is a contest to introduce pre-university students (ages 13-17) to the many kinds of contributions that make open source software development possible. The contest runs from December to January annually since 2010.

For many students the Google Code-in contest is their first introduction to open source development. For Google Code-in we work with open source organizations, each of whom has experience mentoring university students in the Google Summer of Code program, to provide “bite sized” :fork_and_knife: tasks for participating students to complete during the seven week contest.
