Streamlining retrospective data entry in OpenMRS for improved usability and traceability

Hi @pauladams,

We encountered a scenario that closely aligns with your objectives while developing a more efficient and user-friendly OPD workflow earlier on. The aim was to create a streamlined user flow for adding and editing encounters during an active visit. Our goal was to consolidate clinician tasks on one page. This approach was to ensure that clinicians providing OPD services can perform tasks such as adding orders, appointments, and filling additional forms, without navigating away from the main page. Instead, they could open the other workspaces directly on the page to complete these tasks.

Additionally, we’re using this opportunity to test a more structured visit note, inspired by the discussion initiated by @wamz and to explore an enhanced method of viewing forms through embedded view mode feature in the React Form Engine.

You can view a demonstration of this here from minute 22.

Let me know your thoughts on whether there’s potential for alignment and collaboration in this. Not sure if you’ve already started development on this?
