OpenMRS Intro workshop at Johns Hopkins - Welcome workshop participants

Hi, Ed. We don’t do this as well as we should. In general, we provide a “what’s changed” document with each release, but we don’t highlight the retired concepts as clearly as we should. This is an area where CIEL and OCL (@paynejd, @darius ) probably need to strategize a little. Typically, the changes in the dictionary would not push out unless there was a change (so after the first retirement, if the subscribing implementation un-retired the concept, it should stay unretired until there is another change to the exact same concept in CIEL). Best practice would be to remap the retired concept to the new one. We try not to retired concepts that have been out there if there are dupes. If the concept is bad, then we do have to get rid of it which might force an implementation to either rework the form or unretire the concept from CIEL.
