Is the issue being able to link medications entered through an encounter which is simply documenting them compared to those prescribed in the encounter, or is it from a clinical perspective being able to list them separately in a clinical view, like a facesheet?

I am looking to have solution for both, administrative linking as well as from clinical perspective, ie being able to list them separately

I think having a value set of particular conditions (and their descendants, conceptually) which filters a list of medications, labs, etc. is a very useful way of achieving this latter goal.

Not sure how to achieve this, any reading material/ reference.
