FYI I am going to propose that we respond to Kaweesi’s request by introducing a new PatientSearchService. I mentioned that on this JIRA ticket: TRUNK-5422 Eventually I would think of this as a candidate for pulling out into a microservice, but to start off just positioning it as its own service instead of making ad-hoc additions to our current HibernatePatientDAO.
I think people like @burke, @mogoodrich, @mseaton, @raff, and @teleivo might also be interested to join, or at least to comment ahead of time on the JIRA ticket. (But we should avoid sidetracking Kaweesi too much in the process!)
@k.joseph, is your use case for the Reference Application, or some other UI?
