i replace the icon by following the links:
<link rel="shortcut icon" type="image/ico" href="/openmrs/images/openmrs-favicon.ico">
<link rel="icon" type="image/png\" href="/openmrs/images/openmrs-favicon.png">
I changed both of the images.
