I’m Anindita Priyadarshini, a Full-Stack developer. Interested in contributing to OpenMRS for GSoC 2026. I’ve joined the wiki and set up my environment. Looking to pick up my first ticket — looking forward to any guidance on good starting points.
My name is Aiden Li , and I’m in the final year of the M.S. in Computer Science program at Northeastern University. I’m excited to start my journey with OpenMRS and work toward contributing as part of Google Summer of Code 2026.
Before returning to school, I worked at Glodon on IT management software for equipment management. As a Product Manager, I helped design systems involving multi-client data isolation, data integration, and related governance/security logic. Through that experience, I realized that beyond designing these workflows, implementing the logic at the engineering level is equally interesting, which motivated me to go back to school and deepen my software engineering skills.
On the technical side, I have about 1.5 years of full-stack experience, including Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, message queues, Docker, and AWS deployments, as well as frontend work with React. I’m currently setting up the OpenMRS development environment locally and exploring the codebase.
I’m highly motivated to learn, contribute consistently, and become an active member of the OpenMRS community.
Looking forward to your guidance and collaborating with you all!
My name is Aarohi, and I am a Sophomore Computer Science student. I’ve been coding in Java and am passionate about using technology to solve real-world problems, which is what drew me to OpenMRS.
I’ve spent the last few days diving into the Reporting Module. I am particularly interested in the ‘Visit Summary Printing’ project for GSoC 2026. I’m currently exploring the module’s codebase to understand how reports are generated and printed.
Looking forward to contributing more and learning from this amazing community.
I’m Himanshu Kabra, a second-year undergraduate student with a strong interest in Full Stack Development and Competitive Programming. I enjoy solving algorithmic problems and building practical software.
As part of my GSoC journey, I’m excited to contribute to the OpenMRS organization. The Forms Migration Tool idea particularly caught my interest, and I’m currently exploring the codebase and working on making some initial contributions to strengthen my proposal.
Looking forward to learning from the community and contributing meaningfully.
My name is Radith Sandeepa, and I’m an undergraduate software engineering student at SLIIT. I’m excited to join the OpenMRS community and learn more about building impactful healthcare systems.
I’m eager to learn as much as I can, contribute where possible, and also share any knowledge or experience I have along the way.
Looking forward to connecting and collaborating with you all!
My name is Hemang Singh, and I’m a Second-year Computer Science Engineering student from India. I’m very excited to start contributing to OpenMRS and explore the Service Queues project for GSoC 2026.
I have experience working with JavaScript, TypeScript, and Java. I’ve built backend systems using Node.js and PostgreSQL, and I’m currently strengthening my understanding of data structures and scalable backend architectures.
The Service Queues project particularly interests me because it sits at the intersection of frontend performance, backend API reliability, and real-world healthcare workflow optimization. I’m comfortable working with React fundamentals and REST APIs, and I’m eager to contribute to improving UI/UX, performance, and system reliability.
I strongly value clean, maintainable code and enjoy understanding and refactoring existing systems to improve efficiency. I’m especially motivated by OpenMRS’s mission of improving healthcare access in resource-constrained settings, and I’d love to contribute to something that directly impacts patient care.
I’m currently going through the O3 documentation and would appreciate any guidance on beginner issues or areas within the Service Queues module where I can start contributing.
Looking forward to learning and collaborating with the community!
My name is Alvin Kurniawan, and I’m currently in my 6th semester of an Informatics Engineering degree from Indonesia. I’m excited to join the OpenMRS community and start contributing to open-source projects, especially in the healthcare technology space.
I have experience working with Java, Spring (Spring Boot), JavaScript, React, and REST APIs
Through OpenMRS, I’m looking forward to improving my skills, understanding real-world health IT systems, and contributing meaningfully to the community.
I’m currently exploring the codebase and GSoC-related tasks, and I would really appreciate any guidance on beginner-friendly issues or areas where I can start contributing.
Hi OpenMRS Community! I’m Janani, a 3rd-year B.Tech AI & Data Science student. I have skills in Java and Spring Boot and I am very interested in the Improved Audit Logging project. I have already joined the Slack and look forward to contributing!
Hi everyone!

Hi everyone!
My name is Solomon Fortune Buwule, and I am a final-year student at Mbarara University of Science and Technology. I’m also a junior developer from Uganda. I’m excited to join the OpenMRS community and contribute to impactful healthcare solutions.
I have experience in Java, JavaScript, and React and am soon closing in on Flutter and am currently setting up my local development environment to better understand the codebase.
I am looking forward to learning from the community and starting with some ‘good-first-issue’ tickets soon.
Happy to be here!
I’m thrilled to be part of the GSoC 2026 journey. I wanted to share a project I’ve been building called Baasha Translator, a real-time translation app hosted on Firebase.
My goal is to bring this same “Product-First” mindset to the OpenMRS QA Framework. I am currently diving deep into O3 (OpenMRS 3.x) frontend tests using Selenium, Cucumber, and Java, and I’m eager to help solve existing issues in the testing suite to make our releases more stable.
I Hope the Great mentors see this….
Instead of scolding….hope they Guide me We feel like Assignment…
Looking forward to collaborating and contributing! — [Vishnu Vardhan]
