Hi everyone ,
I’m Santosh Sanjay Barkade, a second-year Computer Engineering student.
I’ve learned Java, Spring, Spring Boot, and REST APIs and recently started exploring open source development.
I found OpenMRS really interesting because it combines software engineering with real-world healthcare impact.
I’m completely new to contributing, and I’m looking forward to understanding how things work here and learning from the community.
Any guidance or suggestions on where to start would be really appreciated
Hey everyone. I am Bandhan, a fellow CS undergrad from India. I am excited to join an active community that solves a global problem. Hope my contributions will impact in the mission of OpenMRS
Hey everyone! I’m Yash — a software engineer working in the healthcare tech space. I’ve been building systems that help clinics share and process medical data more easily, and I’m here to learn, contribute, and connect with others who care about improving healthcare!
Hillary Omondi is a MERN stack developer, exploring anything around the web, trying out new & trending tech tools. Very flexible and customizable to work with. Exploring opportunities and open-source projects to contribute to.
Hello everyone!
I’m Shubham Singh, a second-year Computer Engineering student. I’ve built several projects using Next.js, TypeScript, and the MERN stack, and I have beginner-level open-source experience from participating in GirlScript and Hacktoberfest.
While exploring different organizations, I came across OpenMRS—and it immediately caught my attention. The work you do in healthcare and the way you connect people through software is truly inspiring.
I’m excited to start contributing and to learn more about the ecosystem. Since I’m new to this organization, any guidance from the community would be greatly appreciated.
Looking forward to being a part of OpenMRS!

Hello everyone! I’m Sheetal, a second-year CS student eager to start contributing to OpenMRS for GSoC 2026.
My skills are strong in the modern stack: React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and Express.js. This makes me keen to focus on the OpenMRS 3.0 (O3) Frontend work.
I am currently working on setting up the O3 environment using Docker.
While I’m waiting for the setup to complete, I wanted to introduce myself and ask: Where can I find the most current list of “Good First Issues” specifically for the O3 frontend? Knowing where to look will help me jump right into coding once my local instance is running.
Any immediate guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
I’m a full-stack web developer & freelancer.
I work with React, Next.js on the frontend and Spring Boot (Java) on the backend.
I also have some experience in DevOps like Docker and CI/CD.
I’m new here and excited to contribute to OpenMRS to solve real-world problems and help the community.
Hi everyone, I’m Harsh Chawla from India.

I have joined the Slack channel and started exploring GitHub repositories.
I would appreciate guidance on beginner-friendly issues or where to start.

My name is YashKoparkar and I’m an enthusiastic student developer interested in GSoC 2026.
My core technical focus is the intersection of java for robust backend systems and React/TypeScript for modern O3 frontend development . I believe this multi-stack proficiency, along with my Python and C++ skills, will allow me to contribute effectively across the platform, from the API core to the user interface. I am currently setting up the environment and actively looking for my first good first issue.
My name is Harsh Desai and I am a Computer Science student from India.
I am new to Open Source but I have experience with React.js and Java. I am really interested in the OpenMRS project, specifically the modern O3 frontend, because it aligns with my interest in building user interfaces.
My goal is to learn from the community and start contributing to beginner-friendly issues soon. Happy to be here!
