Should pgbackrest-restore ignore pgsql start errors?

After restore pgbackrest attempts to start postgres

Bahmni/bahmni-playbooks/blob/master/roles/pgbackrest-restore/tasks/main.yml#L28




- name: Performing PITR restore
sudo: yes
script: pitr.sh {{postgres.path}}  {{ restore_point }} {{ logfile }}
when: strategy == "pitr"


- name: Performing postgres dump
include: pgsqldumprestore.yml
when: strategy == "dump"


- name: Start PostgreSQL
service:
  name=postgresql-{{ postgres_version }}
  state=running
ignore_errors: true

But it ignores errors (line 32). After the restore if pgsql doesn’t start as in my case , this script should not ignore error and should stop.

Should it be corrected in the next release?

hi i am facing same error @angshuonline if pgsql doesn’t start , this script should not ignore error and should stop. soon raising ticket for the same
