Ready to work on OCLOMRS-1106 (New Contributor)

Hi everyone,

I am a new contributor (GSoC aspirant). I found a community-priority ticket: [OCLOMRS-1106].

I am ready to start working on it immediately, but I cannot assign it to myself or comment on JIRA yet (I think my account might be on hold).

Could someone please assign OCLOMRS-1106 to me? My JIRA ID is: muhammedumer.

In the meantime, I have already cloned the repository and started looking at the code.

Can you share a screenshot of what you see when you click on the Ready for Work link?

Hi @dkayiwa sir, thanks for the quick reply! Here is what I see on the JIRA page. As you can see, I do not have an ‘Assign’ button or a ‘Claim’ option in the toolbar. The status is ‘Ready for Work’, but I cannot click it to change it .

Hi @dkayiwa sir,

When I click the status, I get this exact message: ‘You don’t have permission to transition this work item.’

(I also do not see an ‘Assign to me’ button anywhere).

Yes, that was exactly the issue. I can see the ‘Assign to me’ link now. Thank you for your patience and help!
