Hi OpenMRS community!

I’m Rakesh, a QA engineer with 5 years of experience in web and mobile testing, including manual testing, automation, API testing, and database validation.

I’ve worked with Playwright using JavaScript, Selenium using Java, and REST Assured for API automation. I’d like to volunteer my skills and contribute to improving OpenMRS.

Are there any small QA or test automation tasks suitable for a new contributor? I’d appreciate guidance on getting started and the testing frameworks your team uses.

Thank you—I look forward to learning and contributing!

Hi @rakesh_h_c , welcome! Your Playwright + JS experience is a perfect fit — we use [Playwright](https://playwright.dev/) (TypeScript) for E2E testing across our frontend repos.

Quick start: read the [E2E testing guide](https://o3-docs.openmrs.org/en-US/docs/frontend-modules/end-to-end-testing/), pick a repo, run yarn test-e2e against a local backend or [dev3](https://dev3.openmrs.org/openmrs/spa), then find QA-friendly tasks on the [O3 Jira board](https://openmrs.atlassian.net/browse/O3) — fixing flaky specs or adding coverage for untested flows is a great first contribution. thanks
