Printing bills in thermal paper from Bahmni (OpenERP)

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone can help me with setting thermal paper printing of the bills from OpenERP. The purpose is to minimize the usage of paper in a low resource settings.

Hi Mohammad,

There are couple of things to do:

  1. Install the Thermal printer device drivers on relevant client machine. There are a few settings to tweak to get right paper size, auto cut, multiple copies etc that you need to set up. Once done this printer can then be used from Bahmni / OpenERP just like another printer.
  2. Bahmni OpenERP has a summary bill printout format which suits well Fir thermal printer. You should try that. You can then tweak it to add/ remove required fields.
