Question: What Health Information Standard does OpenMRS implement?
There are lots of different standards that OpenMRS implements. They can be broken down into coding standards, messaging standards and terminology standards. For those using the CIEL dictionary, the terminology standards are mapped to international reference terminologies and administrative terminologies: ICD-10, SNOMED CT, RxNORM, LOINC, etc. On the messaging side we implement several standards including HL7 and the new FHIR (fast healthcare interoperability resource) standard. I will let the developers talk more about developer standards
