# Need assistance with setting JAVA\_HOME environment variable

Hey all,

I am currently facing an issue related to the JAVA\_HOME environment variable is not set\_, while working on a development project.When attempting to execute certain commands, I encounter an \ ***error** stating that JAVA\_HOME is not set. I have reviewed my system variables and attempted to configure (JAVA\_HOME manually), but I am not sure if it is correctly set up.

Could someone please provide guidance on how to properly set the JAVA\_HOME environment variable? Specifically, I need instructions on how to specify an existing JRE directory and ensure that JAVA\_HOME is correctly added to the PATH variable. I have already updated my system variables and restarted the command prompt as advised, but the issue persists.
