Hello everyone,

My name is Rakesh Honawad and I am an Electronics and Communication Engineering graduate from India with a strong interest in backend development and open source software.

I have experience working with Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, and REST API development. I enjoy building backend systems and improving code quality.

I am interested in participating in Google Summer of Code 2026 with OpenMRS. I am currently exploring the OpenMRS ecosystem and learning about the different projects and modules in the community.

I look forward to understanding the codebase better, setting up the development environment, and starting to contribute to beginner-friendly issues.
