# How do I install the Ref App module in Reference Application 2.3.1?

@wyclif I am also trying to install. So inside “…openmrs-distro-referenceapplication/package/target/distro” there are a bunch of omod files “and openmrs-1.11.5.war”. Where would I copy the omods and the war to? (After I installed openmrs-core, Under /root/.OpenMRS there is no directory called “modules”). Please help! Which files should I copy to …openmrs-core/webapp and what files to /root/.OpenMRS/modules although I do not have the latter directory?

The OpenMRS application data directory should be **.OpenMRS** in your home directory, are you running OpenMRS as root?
