Hi everyone
I am Pratibha Yadav, a B.Tech undergraduate majoring in Information Technology. I am excited to participate in GSOC 2025 with OpenMRS. The project that interests me most is Interactive Translation Builder.
Currently, I have setup the required repositories locally and gained fundamental understanding of their architecture and functionality. Looking into tickets related to form-builder, gradually getting familiar with the contribution process.
I would appreciate any guidance or advice to help me navigate and contribute effectively :))
Hi @pratibha_y , welcome to OpenMRS! It’s awesome to see your enthusiasm for GSoC 2025 and the Interactive Translation Builder project!
Great job setting up the repositories and exploring the architecture! Getting familiar with the form-builder and working on related tickets is a fantastic approach. A few tips to help you navigate your contributions smoothly:
Start with Introductory Tickets – Check out good first issue or community priority tickets in JIRA. They’ll help you get hands-on experience.
Ask Questions Freely – The OpenMRS community is super helpful! If you get stuck, feel free to ask here or on Slack.
Follow Contribution Guidelines – Make sure to check the OpenMRS Wiki and developer guide to understand coding standards and best practices.
Engage with the Community – Join OpenMRS calls, interact with mentors, and stay active in discussions—it really helps!
Excited to see your contributions grow! Feel free to tag me if you need any help. All the best for your GSoC journey!
