GSOC 2023: O3 Feature: Draw on a body diagram proposal and brainstorming

Hello Everyone!

With a plan to Draw on a Body Diagram project, I’m thrilled to be applying to the Google Summer of Code 2023 program. I am keen to add to OpenMRS’s mission of enhancing healthcare delivery in moderate settings because I think draw on a body diagram is to enhance the patient-doctor communication, allowing patients to point out specific symptoms or injuries on a body diagram and helping clinicians to better understand the patient’s conditions.

I think Draw on a Body Diagram project is an exciting opportunity to improve the OpenMRS platform and make it more patient-centered, empowering patients to take an active role in their care and enabling clinicians to provide more accurate and efficient diagnoses. As a result, I’m willing to work with other GSoC participants, mentors, and contributors who have comparable skills and interests.

I have some questions to get started:

  • What features do you think should be included in the body diagram tool?
  • What would be the ideal user experience for patients and clinicians using this tool?
  • What kind of technologies and frameworks do you think would be suitable for implementing this project?
  • Are there any similar projects or tools that we can draw inspiration from?

I’m looking to hearing from you soon and Let’s brainstorm together and make this project a success!

Hey @dilankavishka it’s amazing to hear how interested in this project you are.

Almost all of the information you’ve asked for is listed there on the wiki page.

Let me know if you need any feedback once a draft version of you proposal is ready.

Looking forward to seeing a good proposal from you. Good luck!!
