Dear OpenMRS Community,

As we gear up for Google Summer of Code 2024, we are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join us as admins for this exciting program. admins play a pivotal role in guiding and supporting both students and mentors throughout the GSoC journey.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with the OpenMRS community to identify suitable GSoC projects.
  2. Assist in selecting and mentoring potential GSoC students.
  3. Provide guidance and support to mentors and students throughout the program.
  4. Facilitate communication and collaboration among GSoC participants.
  5. Participate in regular meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and solutions.

Interested individuals can express their interest by replying to this thread. The current GSoC admins will review and select two individuals who demonstrate a strong commitment to the OpenMRS community, possess relevant skills, and share our passion for global healthcare.

This is so exciting! Looking forward to supporting our co-admins this year.

Since I’ve started getting questions from OpenMRS Organizations about OpenMRS GSOC 2024, I started the new Wiki page here: Summer of Code 2024 - Resources - OpenMRS Wiki. I found our list of ideas from 2023 that didn’t make it into last year, and added a few of them that are still relevant :slight_smile:
