You could check to see if you have demo data for your application e.g by use of any mysql client e.g mysqladmin. When installing your standalone reference application, you have the option to initialize it with demo data. Else if you already have data just try rebuilding the search index and making another search. How to rebuild search index: https://modules-refapp.openmrs.org/openmrs/admin/maintenance/searchIndex.htm
Have data in the application, done rebuild search index and it hasn't solved my issue
Sorry for the late reply. If you are running it locally. In the folderwhere you have Cohort builder installed with all its node dependencies runthe script 'npm run start' alongside the running tomcat server. That willsolve the data issue

@dkayiwa which logs, could they be of openmrs? or others, since they seem be many.
