backporting commits to the branch

Hello community , i have been reading about backporting on https://wiki.openmrs.org/display/docs/Git+Backporting and i would like to find out if its possible to merge two commits from the master branch after cherrp picking them

@gcliff, you may need to inquire via comment on the ticket whether there were any merged commits you can use
